Charlie Thomas brings a pedigree with over thirty-five years’ experience in both professional and non-professional live theatre, film, television, and radio. He has worked with a majority of the theatrical companies in the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin over that time. With a background as an actor, director, technician and producer during that tenure, he has a unique ability to view productions from multiple facets. For the last several years, he has also served as the Entertainment Reporter for KCDZ 107.7FM out of Joshua Tree.
Theatre 29 proudly announces the cast and creative team for the third show in its 25th season, MAN OF LA MANCHA. Gary Daigneault directs this reimagined musical which was written by Dale Wasserman, with music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion. Bianca Stoker is the Music Director with Lisa Hodgson doing Choreography. MAN OF LA MANCHA opens March 1st and runs through March 17, at the Theatre 29 complex at 73637 Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms.

Theatre 29’s resident improvisational comedy troupe, The Rotating Players, are bringing in the funny and the risqué in their annual “Naughty Improv” show. Aimed for audiences aged 18 and over, “A Night of Naughty Improv” will be jingling their bells and stuffing your stockings full…of comedy!
A staged reading is the theatre equivalent of an audiobook or radio play; the actors read directly from the script and the focus is on the story rather than the action. But make no mistake! There will not only be action, but even music, dynamic lighting, and special effects that are sure to bring, or rather “burn,” the house down.
This one person play follows author and performer Miri Hunter as she moves from her Los Angeles loft and settles into life in the Mojave Desert. Is it the fulfillment of a promise to herself to find a place where she can just be or is it a continuation of the life she keeps trying to leave behind?

Theatre 29 and Director Katie Fleischman will be holding open auditions for a live stage production adapted from Charles M Schulz’s timeless story and featuring the music of Vince Guaraldi. The classic animated television special A Charlie Brown Christmas comes to life in this faithful stage adaptation in which Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang sing, dance, and discover the true meaning of Christmas.
The opening night galas at Theatre 29 have traditionally been a fund-raising opportunity for area nonprofits. Over the years groups like the College Foundation, Rotary Clubs, Library Friends, Reach Out, and others have raised thousands of dollars hosting the events. The opening Night of Roald Dahl’s “The Witches” on October 6, will also be a fund-raiser, but this time for the Theatre 29 organization itself.
Something wicked this way comes this October at Theatre 29, as they open their dramatic season with the Roald Dahl classic children’s story, ‘The Witches’. Faithfully adapted by David Wood, this production will play weekends October 6 – 22.

Theatre 29 will hold open auditions for the dramatized Roald Dahl classic children’s story, 'The Witches.', on Monday, August 14th at 6:00pm on the Theatre 29 Main Stage (73637 Sullivan Road, Twentynine Palms). Based on the book “The Witches” by Roald Dahl and faithfully adapted by David Wood, this production will magically appear on the Theatre 29 stage October 6 – 22. Debut Director Nena Jimenez is looking for a cast of men and women over the age of 15. There are 2 roles for boys 10 – 13 age range, but no other children’s roles.
