Suspended Musicians Sue New York Philharmonic

Matthew Muckey, associate principal trumpet, and Liang Wang, principal oboist of the New York Philharmonic, have filed federal lawsuits against both the orchestra and the musicians’ union Local 802. The legal action, submitted to the Southern District of New York, comes after a series of complex events involving allegations from 14 years ago.

Something wonderful has taken to the stage at Buffalo ‘s Irish Classical Theatre, as Arthur Miller’s THE PRICE is being presented in a near perfect production. This seldom produced play may sound somewhat stilted in it’s formality of language, but the story continues to be captivating, all these years after it’s 1968 Broadway premiere.

Dylan Alter (of Ossining, NY), Myli Bruno (of Mamaroneck, NY), and Ben Souza (of Shelton, CT) were named winners of The Palace Theatre’s 2024Ernie DiMattia Emerging Young Artist Awards for their writing of an original one-act play.
